Price Alerts, Redesigned

Price Alerts has been rebuilt from the page down to the email. The old page could quietly drop a card it couldn’t price, and the email sometimes said "buy now" on a card that was only ever an eBay asking price. Both are fixed, and alerts now show up everywhere you see a card, not just on their own page.

A page built around what actually happened

The Alerts page now groups every card into Target hit, Watching, No price yet or Couldn’t load — instead of quietly dropping a card it couldn’t price. "No price yet" means the card has no TCGplayer or eBay price at all, so its alert can’t trigger yet. "Couldn’t load" means we simply failed to load that price this time; it is never shown as triggered and never shown as "no price". If your alerts themselves fail to load, you’ll see a clear error with a way to retry, not an empty page. Signed out shows a sign-in prompt instead of either.

Every price says where it’s from

Alerts use the TCGplayer market price when there is one. When there isn’t, they fall back to eBay asks — the median of current eBay listings — and always label it that way. An eBay-priced hit is never shown as a "buy now" TCGplayer deal.

See the range, and edit right there

Each alert shows a 30-day range bar — the TCGplayer low to high — with a marker for today’s price and one for your target, so you can see at a glance how close a card is. Edit your target inline, on the page, in the card, or right in the set table, without leaving what you were looking at. Remove an alert with one tap and undo it if you didn’t mean to.

Alerts everywhere you see a card

Alerts are no longer confined to their own page. A card’s alert status now shows in its card details and as a column in the set table, and the alerts count in the nav gets a + if we’re still missing a price for one or more of your alerts, so the number is never overconfident.

Works even when your connection doesn’t

Set, edit or remove an alert while you’re offline and PokeTrack.io saves it on your device and retries the next time you open the app, in the order you made the changes — so a later edit can’t be undone by an earlier one replaying late.

Smarter alert emails

The email now names its price source, drops "buy now" wording when the price came from eBay rather than TCGplayer, and its button links into the PokeTrack.io app. And once an alert has fired, you won’t get emailed again for that card unless you change the target price — no more repeat emails for a card sitting at the same price.

FAQ
How do Pokémon card price alerts work on PokeTrack.io?

Set a target price on any card. We check prices once a day and email you when the card’s price drops to or below your target — using the TCGplayer market price, or the median eBay asking price when TCGplayer has none.

Why does my price alert show "No price yet" or "Couldn’t load"?

"No price yet" means that card has no TCGplayer or eBay price at all yet, so the alert can’t trigger. "Couldn’t load" means we failed to load its price just now — it’s a temporary load problem, not a real price of $0, and it’s never counted as triggered.

Is an eBay price alert the same as a "buy now" price?

No. When a card has no TCGplayer price, we use the median of current eBay asking listings, and we label it "eBay asks". Alerts and alert emails never say "buy now" for an eBay-priced hit.

Will PokeTrack.io keep emailing me about the same price alert?

No. Once your alert email fires for a card, we won’t email you about it again unless you change the target price.

What happens if I set or edit a price alert while I’m offline?

PokeTrack.io saves your change on your device and retries it the next time you open the app, in the order you made it, so it won’t be lost or overwritten by an older change.
