How the Numbers Are Built

Methodology, Briefly

Prices are TCGplayer market prices, which reflect completed sales rather than what someone is asking. Everything is refreshed nightly. Index and heatmap figures use the median card in a group, so one expensive card cannot move a whole set. Newly released sets are marked rather than hidden — sealed and singles both slide after release as supply lands, and letting that drive the colours would flatten everything else.

Sealed with no recent sales is left out entirely. A single vintage listing can ask any number at all, and treating that as a value would put fiction on the page.
