Pokémon card and sealed product price alerts
PokeTrack.io price alerts watch a Pokémon card or sealed product for you. Set a target price. We check prices once a day, and when one drops to or below your target, we email you and show it in the app's bell. Sealed alerts are free; card alerts are free on every set.
How to set a Pokémon price alert
- Open Price alerts. Sign in to PokeTrack.io and open Price alerts in the app.
- Tap New alert and search. Search for a card by name, number or set. Each printing (Normal, Reverse Holo, Holofoil and so on) is its own result. Sealed products are listed under Sealed.
- Set your target price. Enter the price you want it to drop to. The sheet shows today's price and where it comes from. Targets are saved in US dollars.
- Wait for the daily check. Once a day we compare each price with your target. When it is at or below, we email you and the app's bell shows it.
You can also set an alert from a card's page, from the Alert column in a set's table view, or from a Pokémon's Pokédex page. Not sure where to start? Browse all sets or open the Pokédex.
What you can watch
Cards
- Any printing PokeTrack.io has a price for. An alert watches that exact printing, so a Reverse Holo alert never uses the Normal price.
- The price is the TCGplayer price. If TCGplayer has none for that printing, it is the median of at least 3 active eBay asking prices, labelled "eBay asks". Asking prices are not sold prices.
- Sets we have no prices for show "Price alerts aren't available for this set."
- Japanese-set cards can have alerts too. When a card has no TCGplayer price, its alert uses eBay asking prices instead, and the email says which price it used.
Sealed products
- English sealed products such as booster boxes and Elite Trainer Boxes. Japanese sealed products are not tracked.
- The price is TCGplayer's market price only, labelled "TCGplayer market". There is no eBay fallback for sealed.
- A product with no market price shows "No price yet" and can't trigger until it has one. Older products are the most likely to lack one.
What the daily check does
- It runs once a day, early in the morning US Eastern time, after the overnight price refresh, and goes through every alert that hasn't fired yet.
- For each alert it looks up the current price as above and compares it with your target. A hit is a price at or below the target.
- On a hit it sends you one email and marks the alert as hit, and the app's bell shows it.
- A missing price is never treated as $0 or as a hit. The alert stays set until a price appears.
- It reads the price at the time of the check, so a price that dips and recovers between two checks doesn't trigger an email.
- After an alert has fired it stays quiet. Change its target to arm it again.
- One check sends at most 20 alert emails to one person. Any more wait for the next day's check.
- The Price alerts page compares your target with the latest price each time you open it, so it can show "Target hit" before the email arrives.
