Local Trading: Find Pokémon Card Trades Near You

Trading is how this hobby started — face to face, binder to binder. The new Trading tab brings that back with modern tools: a feed of cards listed for trade near you, offers backed by live pricing and real price history, and in-app messaging so you can work out the details without leaving PokeTrack.

FeatureTradingMajor Release

A trading feed built around where you are

Set your location once (just a zip code — other collectors only ever see your city, never anything more precise) and the feed shows cards listed for trade with the distance to each one. Sort by newest or nearest, and filter by distance, set, condition, and minimum price. Every listing shows the card art, its live TCG price, condition, and how long it has been listed.

Offers with real numbers behind them

Propose a trade by picking cards from your own collection, and add cash to either side to even things out. Every offer shows a live value comparison — what you give against what you get — and a full comparison view with an interactive 3-month price history chart for both sides. Hover or tap any point to see what each card in the trade was worth on that day.

Messaging built in

Every listing and offer has a message thread, so negotiating and arranging the meetup happens right in the app. Offer and message notifications land in your notification bell and by email, and block and report tools are built in from day one.

List a card from anywhere

List cards straight from the Trading tab, from any card detail view, or from the table view of a set — pick a condition, an optional note, and it is live in the local feed in seconds.

What happened to the Trade Board?

The old Trade Board grew into this. Existing Trade Board listings worth $2 or more were moved to the new Trading tab automatically, and old Trade Board links now open Trading. Want lists still power upcoming features like local match alerts.

FAQ
How do I trade Pokémon cards with people near me?

Open the Trading tab in PokeTrack, set your zip code, and browse cards listed by collectors near you. Send an offer with cards from your collection (plus optional cash), and once it is accepted, use the built-in messaging to arrange the swap.

Is my exact location shared with other collectors?

No. You enter a zip code, and other collectors only ever see your city and an approximate distance like "~12 mi." Exact coordinates never leave the server.

How does PokeTrack calculate whether a trade is fair?

Every offer shows both sides valued at live TCG market prices, including any cash added, plus a 3-month price history chart of both sides so you can see how the values have been trending — down to each individual card.

Does trading cost anything on PokeTrack?

No — listing cards, browsing the local feed, sending offers, and messaging are all free for every PokeTrack account.
